For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed making marks using pencils and paints. colour.
This has not been taxing but something I love to do.
I enjoy painting people or figures, whether from photographs or from my imagination.
A desire to create has resurfaced in the last 5 or so years and I am embracing my creativity in a new way.
Using photographs of landscapes or people, as a starting place, I use water-based oils and acrylic inks to paint. I have a fairly loose style and try to bring out the wonder of a scene or the character of a person.
I am also exploring what’s in my head and heart and I call these ‘Imaginations’. These usually starts with an image or an idea and are worked out on the canvas/paper.
I love to see people creating and I find that I am able to inspire and help others explore and develop their skills. I have led creative groups that include , meditation and reflection as a way into creating an image.
